I am interested in below-ground ecology and root evolution. My interest focuses on the study of the variation in root morphology and chemistry among woody plants. More specifically I am studying the affiliation between suites of root traits and evolutionary pathways in plants. Moreover I want to understand how these suites of traits may affect ecological processes such as plant community assemblages, ecosystem productivity and nutrient cycling.
